A Special Thank You to AR Storage for Supporting WHISH!

At WHISH, we believe that community support is what makes a real difference—and we’ve been lucky enough to receive some incredible generosity during our recent building work. 

 

As many of you know, in March and April, we’re having essential renovations done to make our building more accessible, including the installation of a lift and the widening of doors for wheelchair access. To make space for the builders, a substantial amount of equipment—including sensory items, gym mats, and a changing table—needed to be temporarily relocated. 

 

That’s where AR Storage stepped in to help! After reaching out, the fantastic team at Stokesley-based AR Storage generously donated a storage container at their Selly Hill facility just five minutes outside Whitby. This kind gesture has been a game-changer for us! 

Making a Big Difference 

 

Tony Walker, Chair of WHISH Trustees, shared just how important this support has been: 

 

“The provision of a storage container has enabled us to clear the areas the builders need access to, allowing them to work more efficiently and stick to the timetable for the building work. It will also help us re-open more smoothly, as the items can be returned in stages as work is completed.” 

 

By providing us with safe and secure storage, AR Storage has helped keep our renovation project on track—meaning we’ll be able to welcome families back sooner and with a beautifully improved space.
